The scientific-research center "Applied Chemistry" was opened by order of the rector of KBU No. 1267 of 12.09.2019 "On the optimization of scientific departments of the university" from the Laboratory of engineering profile "Physico-chemical methods of research" as an independent structural unit, as well as for applied research in the field of inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry , applied organic chemistry, chemical physics.

The main scientific direction is the study of applied value chemistry, the development of technological schemes and methods, as well as the improvement of existing chemical technological processes
